We were so excited when Nixon asked us to collaborate on our second collection of watches. I love working with them and knew that we could expand upon our collaboration and ideas together. Throughout the design process of our last two collections, it has been fun to work on a new category and expand our product offering to our customers.
Watches for me are like another piece of jewelry added to my wrist. The more I wear my Nixon x Amuse timepiece, the less I find myself having to check my phone. It has been so interesting to learn about the functionality of watches, and what goes into creating them. I love any chance to design and test new categories that are outside of my expertise: items that we won’t ever produce ourselves, but are important to the Amuse girl.
We have four watches in our newest collection that are all unique and true the Amuse girl. We focused on a classic snake material in shades of rust, black, taupe and popped it with gold and vanilla. Due to the success of last years Kensington watch, we brought back our signature palm print in the black color way. In addition, we introduced a gold chain style with a round vanilla dial that feels like a beautiful piece of jewelry. Across all styles, our Amuse logo sits at the bottom of the dial to mark the 6 o’clock hour and the backs are engraved with “Beach Vida Bling”.
