DIY After Sun Spray
This simple concoction is made up of just 4 natural ingredients. We believe in the power and benefit of essential oils and love using lavender and peppermint for this skin repairing spray.
- 1/2 Cup Witch Hazel
- 2 Tablespoons Pure Aloe Vera
- 10 Drops Pure Lavender Essential Oil
- 2-10 Drops of Pure Peppermint Essential Oil (depending on how sensitive your skin is)
Mix all ingredients together and add to an 8oz spray bottle, or two 4oz spray bottles. A funnel can be used for an easy pour. Avoid using spray around the eye area, so the peppermint doesn't get ya! Spray evenly on body after a day in the sun and relax!

"The Blue Lotus and White Tea Treatment Sheet Mask from Pur-Lisse is great to use post sun." - Andrea
"Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. My favorite is Epicuren Kukui Coconut After Bath Moisturizer. It leaves skin silky and smelling like vacations past :) I always bring the Epicuren Handbag Essential Trio Kit while on vacation. It comes with the moisturizer, face toner, and anti-aging lip balm with SPF - gotta protect your lips from the sun as well!" - Maria
"Having fair skin, I don't spend too much time in the sun but I do use Vitamin E Oil, or Epicuren Aloe Vera Calming Gel. And of course, SPF 70 before and during sun :)" - Angela
"I'm all about coconut oil by itself. I just rub it all over! Sometimes I use the Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion because I love the way it smells." - Crystal
"For my pre-beach prep, I use Sun Bum Salt Spray on my hair to protect color and prevent damage. It smells so good! I also use Sun Bum Clear Zinc on areas that tend to burn/get damaged easily like my shoulders, chest, and nose. I try to pack hydrating snacks like cucumber and watermelon to help skin from the inside out. After the sun, I rinse and then lather up with pure coconut oil." - Sarah
"Prevention is better than correction, so I load up on Sugar's Sport Treatment Sunscreen with SPF 30. It's the best balm I've tried and doesn't melt under the scorching sun. Also, I put a bit of Ouai hair oil before and after I take a dip. It smells amazing too." - Kelly
"After a swim in the ocean, just a tiny bit of Ava's paraben-free hair conditioner makes your hair manageable and silky smooth. You can even spray on before heading into the pool and it protects your hair from chlorine damage." - Mandy
